The first few weeks at Chester have been really exciting and fun for me as it was a chance to step up to a new challenge and to make new friends. I think it has been a challenge for me because I am back in education after having a gap year and I found it quite difficult to get back into the routine of work and being on time, which I usually get moaned at for back home or in work. I'm really happy that I came to the university of Chester because everyone is really friendly and easy to get along with especially everyone on my course Christian Youth Work. I've learnt a lot about myself and I'm sure others have done the same. I have learnt that everyone thinks I'm mad on my course I should of warned them to start off with, but where's the fun in telling people.
In the short space of time that we have had at Chester I have learnt so much about how important youth workers are to young people and how we can make a difference to them if we are there for them if they need are help or they just need someone to talk too. I have also learnt that I don't like theology much but I'm sure I will eventually well get my head round it aleast so I'm not confused in lectures.
I am Roman Catholic but I had lost my faith before I joined Chester because of the lose of my Nan. I felt like nobody was there for me especially God. I blamed God for her dying, but I have realised that I have a faith inside me that I thought I had lost was still there just waiting for me to realise what it was I believed and I believe that part of my faith has been restored. I know since I've started university I have changed and for better and I believe that part of me is the faith that I'm starting to restore in God and I am happier for it.

TODAY
Well today im really tired and need my bed!!! Today has been one of exitement and disapointment. The excitment was preparing myself for a hockey game against Bolton University. For some reason we played Bolton in Wigan by the JJB Stadium which was odd as we didnt even enter Bolton. The game itself was good but we should of played better we lost 5-2 but it brought us back down to earth as we wheir undefeated but u cnt win them all. Im happy though cause i won £10 for scoring first which made the day alot better hehehe. Got a game next wednesday against Edge Hill at the astro turf on Chester campus if any of you want to come and watch, the game starts at 3pm. After we got back i had to get the train home because i was going to a youth club to interview the youth leader and a young person who goes to the club so i could get both side of how the youth club is run and to find out if the club involves the young people in thier activities. This was enjoyable to do because it gave me a huge insight of how a youth club is ran and how communication with young people can make the club more enjoyable for them.
I will remind everyone next week about the hockey game if you can make it.
